Subject: Update: Getting reports from the new SA system data
Dear Campus Brio Users,
I have spoken to many of you over the last few days, but this message is intended to reach a broader audience of Brio users who need to get access to data from the new Student Administration system. Please feel free to forward this message to other users in your organization who you believe are effected. It is being sent to the following lists:
- lan coordinators
- administrative support coordinators
- known Brio users (not an inclusive list)
- Focus users
CURRENT STATUS
The SA Reporting team is working to deliver the repository queries you are accustomed to having access to in Brio Query. They will be rolled out as various quarterly milestones are met. The first batch, due out with the beginning of Fall Quarter enrollment, will be: CLASSLIST, ADDRESSES, ELIGIBLE STATISTICS and REGISTRATION STATISTICS.
Additional reporting requirements will be met as key dates in the quarter approach (for example, at the end of registration, after census date, approaching commencement, after end of term). The reports will be very similar to the reports you currently run out of the repository, although some data will have different names in the new system, and some reports will have slightly different names.
PLANS
Access to the data will be phased in. Initially the repository queries will be made available. As additional validation takes place, direct access to the tables will be provided to enable ad hoc queries. You will be notified as this happens.
If there are essential ad hoc queries that you have been running, that required additional Odin data elements beyond those contained in the repository queries, please let us know so that we can consider your needs as we progress. If you have already submitted a request, we are in the process of responding to each one individually. Please send new requests to both George Yelland (gyelland@calpoly.edu) and Patty Warnick (parwick@calpoly.edu) in OAR.
We think you will be pleased with the ultimate capabilities of the new system. We appreciate your patience as we move forward.
